Beginning with an introduction, the accessible narrative moves into the Exodus story, the food, the Haggadah, the seder, and the various traditions surrounding Passover. Though parts of the ceremony are glossed over, for the most part, the text provides a good explanation of the holiday and its significance. The many crisp, full-color photographs of the family are attractive despite looking posed in places. Beautifully detailed watercolor borders also give the book an inviting look. The page layout is varied, adding interest and visual appeal. Despite one misleading translation from the Hebrew, this title is one of the more accurate, informative, and enjoyable works on the subject available.
